"City Council is asking any outside group, organization or agency who would like to be included in the city's Fiscal Year 2012-13 budget to present their requests at the next council meeting to be held Monday, February 6 at 7:00 p.m. at city hall. Financial statements MUST be included with all requests.

Building Permits

Whether you're a do-it-yourselfer, or a professional contractor, at least one week prior to the start of any construction, a building permit must be obtained from the office of the code enforcement officer for any type of remodeling, additions, etc., except for minor repairs and painting. Our code enforcement officer is Anthony Horton and he can be reached at 304-365-1408 or 304-986-2700 ext 178.

Professional contractors must have a city license before applying for your permit. This license can be purchased at the City Clerk's Office at City Hall.
